SEPTA Regional Rail service remains suspended on the West Trenton, Warminster and Lansdale/Doylestown lines in the aftermath of a massive fire at the SPS Technologies warehouse in Jenkintown PA. Fire began last night. Building located at the junction of SEPTA's West Trenton line (ex-RDG New York branch) and Lansdale line (ex-RDG Bethlehem branch).

The SEPTA Silverliner IV that was destroyed in a spectacular fire in Delaware County PA had been reported with "sluggish performance" by an engineer earlier in the day. SEPTA Mechanical found "problems" but the train was left in service. Crew reported smelling smoke on its fatal trip on the Wilmington line, stopped and discovered the fire.
