HD, Lowes and even Amazon advertise 'kink free' hoses and none of them are worth a ****! I've tried em. I coil them up loosely on garden hose hangars mounted to the house and every one of them kink, in multiple areas, when I remove it. I need a 75' truly kink free hose. Any ideas?
The more you bend it the harder it gets to straighten and rebend, it will make it more likely to kink. The 1/4" is easy, you can kink it but you almost have to try to kink it. The 1/2" can be a little tougher but is still pretty easy to hand form. Also, working in low temps can exacerbate kink problems. Below freezing can be nightmarish and it can be better to take the cord inside and let it warm up first. I would staple the pex to the foam and then place the mesh on chairs. Don‘t be afraid to keep the pex a couple feet away from the hoist posts. No pex under the walls or outside the overhead doors. Don’t kink the pex!
When you attach a typical expanding hose to the wall vent and the dryer and push the dryer back into place, you end up with 5 ft or so of expanded hose from the bellows spring, that can kink and restrict flow as you push back. I was thinking it would nice to have a hose that the wire was more like a spring than a bellows.
