Since the house is new construction a new Verizon cable drop was installed and a new account was created. I've been trying for several days to convince Verizon customer service to either send me a cable card registered to the new account or allow me to transfer my old account (including the cable card) to the new address. Verizon won't budge.
Tried to switch to Verizon FiOS cable. They will not provide a card. They are forcing happy TiVo users off of the best platform and leaving the device obsolete. They suggest using the Xfinity or FiOS streaming bundle to watch programming on any device. Any way to get and activate a card?
My mother just moved in with me and I have her TIVO ROMIA PLUS with a lifetime plan. My mother had COMCAST and that service has been discontinued. I have Verizon FIOS and a FIOS DVR, and I want to turn in the FIOS DVR and use the TIVO instead. Is it as simple as transferring the cable card...

The newest NGPON2 from Verizon FiOS doesn't send TV over QAM either, but most people are not signing up for 2 gig+ service and still have older FTTH PON that support CableCard.
As you probably know, Optimum has declared that it will completely stop supporting CableCARDS in October and Verizon Fios has decided that it will continue to support CableCARDS only for its established customers. In case anyone is still hopeful that Optimum's decision is subject to revision...
As far as I know it's ungrammatical to use the verb form "seeing" when perception is involved - do you mean specifically the gerund seeing, or any use of to see? Either way, it sounds wrong to this US English speaker: we use "seeing" to mean "perceiving" all the time.

See here for a similar use of see in the present continuous.

I’m not seeing anything now would be ok for Sarah to say; the present progressive, and more importantly, the now convey the contrast between the new and the previous states of affairs. For Alex, the simple I don’t see anything would be the most natural for (A). In any event, I think it less likely that Alex would use the now at all, because the now seems to suggest a contrast about what he ...
