Learn how to renew your Maryland Driver's License or ID card with links to do it online, make an appointment, update your address, and the related fees.
The MVA customer agent will process your registration renewal and charge you the appropriate fee. After your fee has been paid, you should receive your new registration card and sticker. If someone other than the registered owner brings the renewal to the MVA, the renewal will be mailed unless a Power of Attorney (VR-470 ) is submitted.
Vehicle Services CUSTOMER ALERT: As of , the MVA will no longer print a duplicate title after a lien is released electronically. You may request a clear title at no additional cost online, using your myMVA account , at a kiosk, or tag and title office. Please note: This is a one-time gratis title, you will need to pay for subsequent duplicate titles.

The MVA accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, American Express, Mobile Wallet Pay , cash or a check made payable to the Motor Vehicle Administration. Checks must have an imprinted name and address and include your driver's license number and home or work phone number.
