We do not add them manually. New callsigns usually appear within a few days of issuance, but on rare occasions it can take up to 10 days. Once your callsign appears, log out and then back in and you should be able to make any applicable changes or additions to your page.
Do not put baluns in single element dipoles that would be used for anything other than the frequency they're cut for or the appropriate odd harmonic. Multiple-element "fan" dipoles are great with a good balun. Always use current baluns. The ONLY exception to this are the Radio Works "Remote Balun" and another 4:1 balun called the "Centaur".
Problem is that some 800 lotw confirmations (of about 1600) are missing from my QRZ log (the contacts are there, just not confirmed) Must have had some ACLog problem? can I use the "import all records" to this problem without duplicating qsos? or is there another explanation.

QSOs have not been dropped despite the fact that I don't change TX frequency. Good to know. My experience has been the same as yours with most activations, but not all. Either WSJT-X changed - and that is possible since I stopped following WSJT-X developments a long time ago - or the DX is not using WSJT-X, MSHV perhaps.
Just get on the air every chance you get, and enjoy the journey - fun and rewarding things in life are not always about the destination. NO ONE gets even close to 100% confirmations, and your rate is not unusual for using just QRZ without also adding in confirmations from LoTW as well. The contacts will come - and the confirmations as well.

This is evidently not a continuation of Elwood Downey's HamClock, just to be clear. I will check it out, but I understand that there is already an effort underway to re-create the back-end services for existing HamClock users, and possibly maintain the client software as well.
