Manouk heeft gewoond en gewerkt in Nederland, het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Zweden en speelde de hoofdrol in meer dan 50 films en tv-series, zoals de BBC-serie A Touch of Frost en Close Relations. Manouks carrière als actrice begon in 1980 na de Theaterschool Herman Teirlinck in Antwerpen.
