I'm totally new to this and can't find a solution anywhere about this problem. I'm trying to select faces however it will not select the faces that I want.

Make an offset plane from the face and choose 0 as the offset. The origin of any sketch created on that plane will be the centroid of the face. You can drop a sketch point there, and if necessary exit sketch and project that point back into another sketch with a more convenient coordinate system.

The inner object is the one I'm trying to change. If I could scale the blue face smaller, I could get the effect I want. But whenever I try to scale the face, the whole object gets selected and scaled instead. The effect I'm going for is that of a shallow depression that isn't steep. I want the curve to extend further into the object.

The reason for that error, is Face Profiling doesn't support bosses in the ID direction. I modified your Model override sketch to remove it, so you can see it generates when you do: I would go with Face Grooving like @a.laasW8M6T suggested. OR... use the new Groove Finishing toolpath, but with multiple passes, which also doesn't require any additional sketches to contain the toolpath: In ...

Eliminate Steps with Distance from Face Save time with the new extents option Distance from Face. Use Distance from Face in the Extrude dialog box to start an extrusion from a face or workplane with a distance. Distance from Face creates a copy of the selected face along the extruded direction. Additionally, modifying the geometry becomes easier.

The orientation in a face based family is based on the host, so if you place the family on a wall in the project then the plan presentation set in the family is the front elevation in the project. It is not that hard to figure out once you get used to it.

Hello! I have the following problem: I would like to align an object (the hemisphere in the figure) on top of a face of another object (the selected face in the figure). I tried with Align and Snap Tools but I could not reach my goal. Thanks so much!

I get that "face for knurled grip" is one of them, but is that the "source face" or the "target face"? A quick explanation of how Replace Face works might help understand when it succeeds and when it fails. Here is a classic case for Replace: Here, I want to replace the top face of this truncate pyramid with that curvy face.
