Blue Owl Capital announced the final closing of Dyal Capital Partners V with $12.9bn of committed capital. Fund V closed on December 30 and was almost $4bn larger than the team’s previous fund, Dyal Capital Partners IV.
Dyal was the first private equity firm with permission to invest in the NBA—part of a wider 2020 partnership—and as of last November, its assets included $283 million and positions in the Sacramento Kings and Atlanta Hawks.
