There are a lot of questions about the WGU payment plans, so I just wanted to share a self-pay example. Before you start at WGU, you need to have your payment arrangements finalized by the 22nd of the month prior to your start date. So if you're going to start Feb 1st, then you need to have your payment plan settled by Jan…
WGU Master of Public Health (MPH) Discussion in ' Nursing and medical-related degrees ' started by NotJoeBiden, .
I recently received an email stating that one of my papers was "selected by the WGU Evaluation faculty for recognition due to the exceptional nature of the work you submitted." Is this a way WGU motivates students and everyone gets one or two during their program? FYI, I am in a Masters program and I'm required to write a…

WGU WAS regionally accredited when I checked. Many of us here are familiar with WGU. Major points are probably it is 100% online, fully self-paced and could be insanely accelerated, accepts existing certs for credits, provides you with certifications in the process (A+, CCNA, MCSA, CEH, CHFI, etc. had to be passed on vendor's conditions, i.e. you may need to go to Prometric/Pearson VUE testing ...
If someone were to start WGU w/nothing and a full time job working 40 hours a week what would be the quickest you would think you could possible finish just studying at night and on weekends? Let's also assume the person has 10 years of IT experience but not many certs. Thanks..

The state of Indiana has made WGU an official state charter school and it's recognized here now as a state school for FAFSA. I believe another state (TN?) is also in the process of doing a charter-school partnership with WGU. You wouldn't see fly-by-night or for-profit toilet paper degree mills get picked up and recognized as state schools.
Husband wants to go to WGU, I'm totally ignorant, any input from grads ...
WGU's BSIT: Software is easily the weakest, least useful of its BSIT degrees. The other degrees are appropriate because they include career-relevant certifications and classes, and fulfill the typically-less-stringent requirements for IT infrastructure positions.
The results from the WGU Collegiate Readiness Assessment were a major consideration in this decision. While WGU does not offer specific feedback regarding individual admission decisions, we encourage you to review the topics of the Readiness Assessment, identify your areas for improvement, and retake the Readiness Assessment in three months.
Is WGU more so meant for those with 10+ years experience? My concern is it's meant for people with a lot of experience to breeze through, considering they already have a solid understanding of the topics.
(WGU-Indiana, WGU-Washington and WGU-Texas) If one lives in either of those states, they can qualify for state grants/loans from their respective state higher education authorities.
