The DPSST Armed Refresher Course is an 5 hour course that can be completed anytime during the month of expiration. If an individual does the refresher course prior to the month of expiration, it will change the following annual qualification date.
The DPSST Unarmed Security Refresher Course briefly goes over key topics covered in the initial 2 day course. This course can be completed 180 days prior to the expiration of your current DPSST Unarmed certification. The course includes a lecture component as well as a 50 question closed book written examination.
The DPSST Unarmed Security Course is the training you need before you can submit your application with the State to become certified as a Private Security Professional in the State of Oregon. The 16 hour class exceeds the Oregon DPSST minimum requirement of 14 hours and is conducted over a 2 day period.
