Just 2 recent reviews of some of the more budget friendly "M193" on the market. First up is the PMC X-TAC M193. It is a touch shy of meeting the velocity spec at least with the uppers I'm using. I recently picked up this Bul Armory Tac Pro compensated model and it is a beast. It is not finicky with ammo, shoots soft and flat, is extremely well built, very accurate, mags don’t cost a fortune and it costs about $1700 less than the comparable Staccato comped model.
He was looking at the Tac Comp which was significantly cheaper than Staccato XC. Only downside I see with the Bul is it doesn’t use standard 2011 mags. I've used TAC, mostly with Sierra and Hornady bullets in the 65-75 grain range in Colt 1 in 7" barrels. Flows well through a measure and generally provides good accuracy, but I've usually found H4895 will make at least slightly more accurate loads.
Had good luck running 23.5 grs of tac with 69gr noslers set to 2.250 will shoot moa.
About 24.0gr TAC in the 20" Krieger barrel is right on the node and at a safe pressure that doesn't pop primers. In my DD barrels with 5.56 chambers, I don't have popped primer problems - they don't seem to really care much about this hot load.
