Rule of thumb for home appliances: 220, 230, 240, it's all close enough not to worry about the difference. There's a good chance the actual voltage on your outlet is somewhere in between and it's even possible the voltage is even lower than 220 (say, 218).
Confusion over 220 and 230 volt outlets - Home Improvement Stack Exchange
To a moderately interested lay-person, "connecting two 110 V circuits creates a 220 V circuit" may sound vaguely convincing. That's the kernel of truth. However, the qualifier that the two 110 V outlet need to be of a different phase, is the practical death blow to the thing. Who knows, which outlets in ones house/flat/room are on which phase?

Thank you for a quick answer. I understand the dangers behind that, however, this is a 1 room apartment effectively and I am the only occupant. I have the ability to secure the plugs to the wall. I understand now that the Y setup would give me 20a, however, would it be possible to do 2 Y adaptors on 3 different breakers, and use those 2 separate 220v 20a circuits? I realize this would double ...
A Chinese device requiring 220/240v at 25 amps might not be a good idea to use, no matter how much you saved buying it. Does the device at least have an UL/ELT label to say it is safe to use? A building with three phase power is probably not a single family house where a non electrician might be allowed to connect the device, so you probably need a licensed electrician for the connection to be ...

Less than 48 hours after landing in Orlando from Lexington, the team was back on a bus heading to Jacksonville and the Gators had to refocus.
