Point is, I thought as I get older my eyes would grow weaker, but in fact I see better now than at any time in the past 50 years.
Our AA accent in the DMV is from the tidewater area of southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. There are linguistic maps that show this. The accents for other races are basically anywhere USA. I agree with you regarding the accent stemming from the tidewater area AA accent. Also, there are many similarities between the accents today.
