Most Amber is very sensitive to light, heat and shocks and also chemical. A few most durable amber that's lasting longer are Baltic amber, Ukrainian amber and Burmite. I have a few North American Amber (NJ/AK/NC/Montana), Burmite, Baltic, Ukrainian, Bitterfeld, Brandenburg, Sarawak, Sabah, Dominican, Chiapas, Tarakan, Hastings, Golling etc.

Just a couple questions if i may… where were these found? What tests did you do to confirm they were amber? I wasn’t aware of any amber deposits in pennsylvania…. can we get better pictures? Something doesn’t look quite right to me but it could be the pictures….

You almost want a feather touch when doing this. Amber and copal for those of you that like copal is soft. So too much pressure and speed can lead to heating, cracking, or deeper scratches that you will still have to remove… I prefer hand sanding for all but the final SOFT cotton polishing. It takes longer but it gives better control..
